WORST Result EVER!I bought this outcome with low expectations and it didn't fail to disappoint. My gosh, this "sewing machine" made me feel like a deficiency - it refuses to sew. After hours of trying to sew a simple pillow, I had to scrap everything because the thread kept getting tangled and the party kept missing stitches, was impossible to manipulate so the stitches kept veering off in bizarre directions only to unravel entirely with a featherlight tug. So much easier and quicker to sew by hand. I can't believe Minstrel would put their name on this utterly atrocious piece of junk!
For $13, it works as expected, and I bent it
For being a $13 token of equipment, it works perfectly well for what I expected it to do. This is a handheld machine that lays down "chain stitches," which are stitches that are theoretical to unravel. You have to first use the threader to pull the loose end of the thread through the fabric to the underside, then tie a knot at the end of your ridge to prevent it from unraveling. For people who are complaining about having to tie the knot, it's a $13 machine!!! It should be compared to imminent-stitching, and not to a sewing machine! Once you get the hang of it, it sure beats hand-stitching to make the repairs.
So far, to one side from playing with it to test its capabilities, I have used it to mend some clothing. The Stitch Sew Quick appears to have some kindly of feeder dog that advances the cloth automatically without needing to additionally really pull it through, but pulling it through does hard cash the stitch length. You also need to have a steady hand to keep the seam straight. Apart from the clothing shape, I've been sewing seams through a sheet of blue garage paper towel to experiment. The seams have been about 8" to 10" crave in my experiments, and the Stitch Sew Quick hasn't "missed a stitch" at all.
I find that the unraveling feature of the "fetter stitch" is actually quite convenient for using the Stitch Sew Quick to tack two pieces of fabric together instead of pinning them together before sewing the real seam. Once the real seam is sewn in with a real sewing machine, then just draw the end of unravel the chain stitch seam.
If you're the gadgety type, you usually have a good be under the impression that of how mechanical machines work, you have a steady hand, and you have the patience to make sure the machine is threaded and calibrated fairly before you begin, then using this machine really beats hand-stitching a boring scar repair. It is a simple machine, but it requires a delicate touch, and it is not idiot-proof or mild to use.
I dont make attractive
Bought it conclusion it would be a great space saver and since i don't really need to sew things that often. I read the instructions twice before as a matter of fact trying it. I did the whole 'Operate machine for 10 seconds then pause for 5 seconds'. Still didn't business. It jammed in every time. Would be a great machine if it actually worked like it's suppose too. Plainly, this product doesn't even deserve one star.. Props to the people who got it working.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. Returned this--it NEVER worked. You are cured off buying a basic sewing machine.

Those who beef about poor hems and the slowness are lucky. I purchased one of these brand new and it wouldn't even turn on. I will be returning this and succeeding with another product. It's a shame Singer put their name on this piece of junk since they usually have great quality products.
