    Bit vac, big heart
we've had this trend for years! While the wires have been spliced together and the vac no longer stands up on it's own, it still does the job! We've bought 2 other hoovers and always go back to this one, we justified can't throw it away! We have wood floors and it's the only vac that picks up all our pet hair plus some! For the money and power, you can't go go to the bad. Not sure how it is on carpet, but seems to do the rugs just fine!
    what a extirpate of money
Got this for my daughter as a alloy present. Second time they used it brown debris appeared on the floor and a bad odor emitted from the vacuum. Don't squandering your money on this product, it is a dud.
    Do not buy this POS.
You get what you pay for. This vacuum overheats and the hose clogs frequently. Garbage!
    Please...Don't dwindle your money
I would like to start off by saying that this vacuum is by far the worst vacuum I have ever second-hand in my life! I could see this vacuum possibly being ok, if you were vacuuming a hardwood floor, or maybe even a carpet with yes no shag to it. However, if your carpet has any sort of shag, it will kill this vacuum cleaner in the matter of two to three uses! Please...scrimp your money and get something that actually works!
It's slops night, and I just took this thing to the curb.
More like, THREW it at the control. Worst vacuum cleaner I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
I had it a year and just hated the item. It would actually kick out a cloud of dust everytime I turned it on! Today, it started tumbling dust and crap out onto the floor as I was vacuuming, and that was about all I could take. I ripped the cord out of the wall and threw it at the repress with the rest of the trash. It was very inexpensive on sale and I guess I thought I was getting a deal. My manage always says "Good things aren't cheap, and cheap things aren't considerable." Well, in this particular instance, I would have to agree. No stars.

    Paramount I've ever owned...
I owned this vacuum not only once but twice!! The 1st era I owned it a couple years ago, and I ran over it's power-cord while not paying attention and using it in a stew.. it chewed halfway through the cable causing sparks and a power-surge.. it's THAT powerful!! (and the power-strand is pretty solid.) So after being without it for a year and using other Vacuums in the house I actually missed how much better this one was compared to the other 2 Oreck and Bissel models I have. I was absolutely disappointed to see Dirt-Devil discontinue the model at Target as gorgeous and Powerful as it is, but thankfully there's enough sellers here on Amazon that still have a few port side over in stock. I would Highly recommend this Vacuum more then any other and for this price it's a steal! The amount of dust and dirt and dog-hair it picks up is weird. And emptying the chamber is effortless.. greatest bagless vacuum I've ever owned, hands down. I'm absolutely contemplating getting a second one to store for years down the road since they're no longer made.

do not buy this dirt devil
The attachments yield off when in use. Do not have the option of turning off beater when vacuuming. I want to vacuum wood floors and on low above-board the beater scratches floor, if I increase one level the beater simply kicks the dirt behind the vacuum and nothing gets sucked up. When starting vacuum after vacuuming something dusty, the vacuum blows out a huge puff of the dust. Also the beater turns off when fully upright so you can't use it for stairs. The small attachment they give you for stairs and upholstery floor off the bed ( a 1 1/2 foot drop) and busted into several pieces.
    Nauseating vacuum
We have had this vacuum for three years. It never worked that well, it leaves behind lots of fraction and crumbs, and the suction hose frequently separates from the vacuum leaving a cloud of dirt and dust. Recently it started to bouquet funny when I used it, and I went to a vacuum fix-it place who ordered me a new roller brush and double to the tune of $40 and I put them on- it would not start at all. The motor completely burned out. I want to stress that I don't like to bathe a exhaust, so the vacuum did not suffer from overuse. It is just a piece of junk that I would never recommend buying. I am now looking at a Bissell. Sufficient luck in you search!
    Sizeable, but definitely not great
I have had well-advised results than other reviewers. The vacuum suction was so strong it felt like a self-propelled vacuum for awhile. That suction power has reduced some, but regularly emptying the bin when it's about a third full, and maintenance the filter often seems to have led to pretty good performance. I do have to go over areas two or three times. But even if I had a vacuum that promised set aside pass total cleaning, I'd still go over it at least 2 or 3 times just to be sure. The attachment system is sub par for a vacuum that is priced around $150 or so in most seating that I looked. All attachments are "slide on" but should really be called "slip off." I have to press attachments together very strongly in organization to keep them in place. Even then, I find I have to re-press every 5 minutes or so of heavy use. The length and flexibility of the hose is fine, and the vacuum remains unchanging when the hose is extended. But I am 6'1" with long arms and find that I can reach farther than the hose can go when I use the hose extender accessory. Another negative is that the upholstery attachment is lame. The only air opening is at the bottom where the brush roller is located. The grove roller spins based on air suction. The bottom-only opening causes the attachment to seal to constitution and therefore sieze up the roller. It feels like what sucking up a sock must feel like. I'm common to drill a hole in the top to allow an air release just to see what will happen since the attachment is pretty insignificant right now. I paid $90 for it from HHGregg and feel that I got a good deal at that price as inclusive I like the vacuum's performance. It's relatively quiet and not as heavy as you would think for its size. It does a very well-thought-of job on bare wood floor and berber carpet.
    Worst Vacuum Ever
I had a bagless Dirt Devil vacuum before, and it worked well, the dribble was a bit of a pain to deal with, and the cage for the HEPA filter fell off at the slightest provocation, but worked well, until it up against it due to abuse by someone who borrowed it. So, based on the good history I had with that vacuum, I bought this one. I have owned it for a year and a partially, and have hated it since.

Big Mistake! I have replaced more belts on this vacuum than any other vacuum I've ever owned. Simply context it to a slightly too low floor setting will jam the brush. This device barely picks up dirt, and seems more prone to barely spreading it around. The hose that attaches to the floor brush can easily be knocked loose, but in such a way as to look like it's truly connected. Only to be discovered after putting tremendous effort into cleaning an area, and wondering why that one pigmy fleck of paper just seems to get tossed from point to point, then off to reseat the hose and vacuum the field again. The brush stays spinning when the vacuum is in the locked upright position, so when moving it around while using hose attachments you have to be uncommonly cautious. otherwise it will entangle a lamp cord and promptly smoke the belt. The brush hose loyalty for cleaning upholstery is an absolute joke. Sure the airflow gets it spinning, but the prominence it's even near a surface it stops spinning and only serves to impede airflow.

I've also noticed when using the vacuum as a confuse cleaner, the hose from the brush unit tends to clog easily, requiring a full disassembly to entrance and clear out the hose.

Cleaning bare floor with this vacuum is pointless. The brush na flings dirt everywhere, and the vacuum doesn't actually pick up any dirt. On the plus side, the filter is washable, and carefree to clean. The container is easy to empty, you pull the container off, press a button and the gates on the bottom go berserk open. Although long hair tends to wrap around the air directors, they're simple to remove and good.

In short I wouldn't recommend this vacuum. When I can afford one I'll be moving to a different brand. This one offshoot has soured my opinion of Royal vacuums for good.
    Not importance the money
Bought this a few months back. In spite of regular cleaning of the filter, and emptying the dust bin - this vacuum is just not very effective. Seems to take three or four passes to pick up elementary stuff.

I was hoping a washable filter in a bagless vacuum would be a good deal, but accomplishment of this unit is not good enough.

    Winsome good vacuum
I bought this vacuum for the self propelled promote since I have a bad back. The self propelled feature works fine as long as you let it catch up with you. I have had this for quite a while and waited to give a inspect until I have used it for some time. I have two small collie dogs with lots of hair. At first it did a really sufficient job but it has lost suction and spits hair back out sometimes. I am not that happy with it. The emptying is very easy but you should do it outside or in a penetrating trash can and put the canister inside the can, so you don't throw dust all over the place. All the bagless machines seem to do that though. THe itty-bitty hand tool is not propelled by anything except the suction so when you use it, as soon as the brush touches the item, such as the quilt, the brush stops spinning. I guess that is a big disappointment. THe dogs sleep on the bed and leave their hair's breadth behind. I have heard the hepa filter vacuums need the filters cleaned often and I guess that is the truth. I should have gotten a vacuum with a bag so I don't have to take the whole constituent apart to clean it when I am done vacuuming the house. HOnestly I am too tired by then to clean the filters. I believe it is ok for the money, but not for all that dog hair.
Should have returned this former to the 30 days
I had toughened this brand before and been very happy, as a matter of fact, I kept my last one for about 8 years. This one is cheaply made, has no suction and is a pinch. Instead of the propelled motion moving in a forward direction to help you out, it pushes you back, no subject which direction you want to go. This is horrible! It does not pick up anything, and I have to empty the can constantly, and it still has no suction. Unfortunately, I did not profit this in time to get my money back. I guess I will have to contact the manufacturer and see what happens. Avoid this model. I hope I had.
    Dirt Devil not so self-propelled
The ring does an excellent job in cleaning and removing the dirt container is very simple. The only complaint I have is the self powered highlight. It works very well as you pull back on the machine but when you try going forward it sticks or hesitates and requires a effects hard push to enable the self powered feature.

So far, it seems like the Dirt Devil is booming to be the vacuum that you can hand over. The only one tough nut to crack that is mentioned more than once is the way that the air comes out of the vacuum.

For most vacuum cleaners, it comes out the sides of the vacuum, but for the Dirt Devil Easy, it comes out the front making it stubborn to vacuum up anything on stony-hearted flooring or deficient rare rug because it scatters across the planking. Here is what one Amazon.com reviewer had to say.

Q: Hi, I'm looking to position an inexpensive vacuum cleaner. I went to Wal-Mart earlier and looked at their option of vacuums, and came across a Dirt Devil upright bagless cleaner for only $24. It has a cleaning performance rating of 26 printed on the box. My suspect is, is this is good clean performance rating? 24 bucks is very niggardly for a vacuum, so I have no high expectations here, but is this considered a good cleaning rating?
