I like it, honest wish it were a bit lighter
Typically luxurious Miele quality and workmanship. We got this to complement our Miele "Blue Moon" canister vac and are very tickled pink. Serves us well in our kitchen and family room--primarily hardwood floors with an area rug. The vaccuum performs well for what it is. If I had a tremendous clean-up required on the area rug, then I'd haul the Blue Moon downstairs...but this is fine for 99% of the jobs. I do demand it were a bit lighter. I'm a strong guy, and this always seems to give my forearms a good workout. I also like that you can use it as a handheld, and get into some pretty penny-pinching spaces. We'd buy it again, and the bags seem to hold a decent amount of dirt. Not sure how well it would perform if we had pets that radiate alot; the motor does seem particularly powerful for the size.

Good what I needed
This vacuum is faithfully what I needed for our 1000 sq ft condo with hardwood floors. If I plug it in in the dining room, I can reach upright about every nook and cranny in our home. With our old vac, I had to plug in at least three different places to reach the same floor range; obviously, the job gets done much faster if I don't have to run around unplugging and re-plugging.
Of course, a cord length means nothing if the vacuum doesn't business well, but I have found that this does a very good job of picking up all the floor nasties, including pet hair from two dogs. Also, the vacuum is much, much quieter than the two prior to vacuums I've owned. For example, my husband and I can have a conversation WHILE I am running the vac! This was impossible with our old vacuum--in fact, he'd sanction the house b/c he complained of the noise.
The unit is very easy to use and seems to be smartly designed. The head swivels/turns without even trying. There are multiple attachments included and for additional purchase (I might splurge on the attachment made especially for hardwood floors, though the gauge attachment seems to work fine so far). And while the cord isn't retractable, it is easily wound up for calm storage. Admittedly, the unit does weigh more than I expected (certainly more than most, if not all other, stick brooms), but it's nothing an undistinguished-sized person cannot handle.
In general, this is a great item and worth every penny thus far. It has made vacuuming less of a hard work, for sure!

About perpetually!
This is the stand by vacuum I've been waiting for for a very long time though a history of many vacuums! It is built with quality with excellent project, workability, power, and flexibility. It is lightweight and easy to use (easier than a broom), and it has several varied collaborator brushes you can purchase, including electrified power brushes. It comes with a HEPA winnow. It could use a longer cord, but an extension cord works just fine. Thank you, Miele!

I can definitely sum this array up into one huddle...Awesome. I was very skeptical about spending $549 for an upright vacuum. In the late I have never emit more than perhaps $150 so this was a Brobdingnagian see the light for me. I have 3 dogs, 3 kids and a whisper suppress. I am commonly sort of unhappy within a week after buying a new vacuum because I normally have to run over the same blemish 3 or 4 times to pick up dog fur, not with the Oreck, one antiquated and it's gone! I normally vacuum twice a day, I am somewhat fervid about launder floors. I also have 2 full sets of carpeted stairs in my business, with my other vacuums I would be out of stirring lugging a 20 something beating vacuum up a full partridge of stairs, not with the Oreck it weighs only 9 pounds. This vacuum is of course awesome in its suction, insignificant load, maneuverability and extreme plan. The Oreck surely transitions from hardwood and tile to different heights of carpeting without me having to do anything. The Oreck feels like it is power pressed, vacuuming is a nothing. I would say even those with a limiting helplessness could use this vacuum with quiet.
At first $549 seemed like a lot of bread, but let me for certain you what Oreck gave me besides my upright vacuum. I also recieved a close canister vacuum with several attachments which retails for $299. Prearranged the box was a redemption coupon for another artifact of my acceptance. I chose a rechargable broom vacuum with a assassination speedily vacuum which retails for $99. Really I recieved 4 vacuums for $549.

Oreck Upright Vacuum or Beam Central Vacuum?
Q: Do you own an Oreck Vacuum? Would young lady feedback on what you think of this product. Also, if you own a central vacuum system, I'd love your truthful feedback on this. I'm considering either/or vac product for my house. Thanks!
A: Orecks are mammoth for small jobs, but even the commercial models will burn out quickly if subjected to callous use. The central vacuum system will outlive 20 portable vacuum systems and are superiority built than them as well. They're also a bit more convenient as you don't have to lug the machine around; only the attachments. The Kirby is another choice as well, but these are corpulent, overpriced and not very user-friendly with the attachments. They are well-built and will last a long conditions with proper servicing.
Oreck upright vacuum. Does it have excellent suction? Is the free canister model any good?

A: I acknowledge house for a lady that has both. I've learned that I love it. It has great suction, but largest of all it's very light weight. So it pushes over the floor and the carpet easily. I'm judgement about buying one myself. I hope that helps. Best Wishes.
Fix or Replace Oreck XL Upright Vacuum?
Q: It is a 400. 7 year old vacuum. It requirements a new motor and the local Oreck place wants 110.00 to fix plus 20.00 for 2 other obscure issues. Do I invest in this Oreck or buy a new cheaper but higher rated by Consumer Reports Hoover WidePath for 60.00?
A: Fix the Oreck. The least dear Oreck is $300. Do you really think a $60 Hoover is better. Consumer Reports is the worst spot to get information. They rig the tests to get the results they want.
