Bagless Hoover Very SubtleThis portion is everything I expected. It is a bit awkward due to the weight and size, but the vacuum ability well makes up for the added effort. It takes a bantam more room for storage. The bagless feature is excellent and very easy to use.

Lots of extent for improvement
I have always been a canister vacuum yourself. Had Sears Kenmore previously which lasted me 17 years with only one repair. Thought I would try another discredit thinking the technology may have come a long way. Did a lot of internet research and chose this Hoover. However, I am not disproportionately impressed. Let's start with the pros: it's bagless... 6 yr. warranty... love the under shit swivel action... not too noisy... telescoping handle comes in clever. The cons are: bulky to handle... not powerful enough... attachments don't click into run (including beater bar) so they keep disconnecting from handle while vacuuming... floor brush has no single out to be held on canister... retractable cord has to be fed back in, does not retract on it's own... food-mixer bar does not pick up everything on carpets even at the lowest setting. Having said all that, I think the negatives preponderate over the positives. It does an OK job but not great. I'm disappointed.
Heinous Vacuum
I by the skin of one's teeth received this last week and it is a great vacuum. Great suction, does a really good job on carpets and A number on hardwood floors. It feels real solid.Pieces go together with a solid feel and it valid feels like quality. And it is VERY quiet, cannot believe how quiet it is for something so powerful. And it is so easy to bath out the canister. It comes off easy, you hold it over the garbage and push a button and bottom opens and trash falls out...so easy. I have owned several through the years mostly uprights, but wanted something that is good and will last. So far so good. And it has a very frigid look to it!!!

This vacuum is very carry-on, quiet, and efficient---IF it works. This expensive vacuum cleaner FAILED immediately. Bought in Strut and it failed within a few weeks. The hose loses its connection at the on/off wand-handle and constantly cuts off deathly while in use. Have to wait a while before the vacuum will turn on again and when it is switched-on, after just a few vacuuming passes, it cuts off dead again. An different disappointment for the price.
Dynamic yet quiet
I had an incorruptible bagless before, compared to it, this is so much better. Canister is easier to maneuver and gets into the corners and bantam spaces better. This is very powerful with half the noise. My dog is not even scared of me vacuuming anymore! It cleans up all the dog skin of one's teeth; i really like the smaller power attachment to clean the couch. The canister dumps out from the bottom which is a intimate feature and makes it much easier/cleaner to empty.

Gargantuan cleaner, but has some problemsThis is a bit of a frustrating goods. When all is working correctly it is the best carpet cleaner I have ever used. The problem is that it is fragile, has problems with the spot of bother motor overheating and shutting off and has a small clean water reservoir. I called buyer service about the overheating problem and was advised that the problem will get better over time as the drive hit loosens and to use "Rug" mode instead of "Carpet" mode in the meantime. That does seem to work.

I intended buying this product against having my carpets professionally cleaned, and after reading many different reviews on many contrary sites, I decided to go ahead with my purchase. My husband and I are so happy that we did and my husband is very hard to please.
Before we moved into our council in Oct. 2009, we had our carpets professionally cleaned by the most highly recommended firm in town. They told us that our rug was wool and had to be specially cleaned. After spending over $1000 on the "special" cleaning... we moved our tackle about 8 days afterwards, as directed, into a house with still-damp carpets!!!
About a month after moving in, large spots started appearing in the hallway and hairbreadth my son's bedroom door. Pet urine spots had begun to resurface! It was so disgusting! In addition, we found a monumental red wine stain under one of the large chairs in our living room. These stains had resurfaced after the initial tidiness! When I called the cleaners, they told me that the dampness was due to "dampness in the air" and since we were new to the area, we had a lot to learn! When I asked them about tidiness my upholstery, what really stands out in my mind is that they told me that I would have to have my furniture dragged out onto our decks in unsuitable for them to clean them! Oh, no thanks!!
After doing some research and testing my carpet fibers, I learned that my carpets were polyester and required no "bosom" cleaning! This Hoover is my first carpet cleaner, my husband used to own a Bissell with which he was not impressed. This motor car is just smashing! The taupe carpets are lovely again. Everything worked very well; we were gentle with it, as one should be with a good utensil. The old pet stains cleaned up immediately, and the machine even got out a six-month old coffee with cream and sugar stoolie, along with most of the old wine stain. I used woolite with oxy-clean sprayed directly onto the carpet along with the speedily brush (mini carpet steamer, really) to get the remainder of the stain out. We are very fortuitous we purchased the machine, and Sears and Walmart both carry large sizes of the amazing Platinum cleaner explication.
Cleans Select but Very Cheaply Made
This doormat cleaner cleans very well, but it is very cheaply made. The gears are all made of cheap plastic. The gears stripped out after only 30 minutes of use. All outer exposed parts are also made of cheap plastic. I would not recommend that anyone buy this carpet cleaner. Plastic is not always a bad consequential, there are some plastics that are very strong and not a bad choice, items like radiator tanks and valve covers on van engines, but the plastic that Hoover uses on this carpet cleaner is very cheap and will not last.

Missing parts
This goods is missing the nuts they say are included in the packing materials. Now I have to go to Home Depot to find the right nut before I can assemle the criticize product.
Well-founded Suction, clean air, but several other issues.....
I ordered this to change a 10-year old Hoover that had great suction and was still working fine, but (a) was really sad, in spite of being made of plastic, (b) emitted an awful smell whenever I vacuumed.....I even took it case, opened it up and hosed it out completely using Pine Sol to thoroughly scrub the interior....that worked for about two weeks, then the lousy smell (a dirty smell, like old socks or gym shoes) came back, and (c) The area where the perimeter drive wrapped around the brush did not pick up dirt, so there was always a 2-inch gap in the clean path.
I ordered this with the appurtenance long hose (per other reviewers.) Right on..the original hose only stretches about 3 feet then pulls the vacuum over. The vacuum is strong, but in addition to that gap where the belt goes over the brushes, this one adds protective strips every 3 inches along the brushline, so when you vacuum there are STRIPES of untouched carpeting. And when you are smooth going over everything two or three times, it leaves those marks, like a giant set of claw marks....the doormat will have STRIPES!!!
The attachment tools are a problem, in that they have a teflon-type surface and do not "stick" together when you put the staff and then the tool at the end onto the hose. They want to fall apart. I am thinking I will have to use some sort of velcro strips to keep the works together...two minutes of using the edge tool or smaller pickup tool and the wand falls off the hose, or the prickly tool falls off the wand...no matter how hard you push to apply them!
On the positive side, the air is unorthodox and clean, it is powerful and almost self-propelling.
I am too broke to buy another vacuum right now, but I will continue to search for a component that has the positives, and not the negatives, of this WindTunnel unit.
