Celebrated Concept...a must have that is in need of an upgrade
I have this roar arm and use it regularly...I love that it is high enough to stay out of the way. Does what it should, on keeping cord and vac line from tardy on my work. I have used it now for about 1.5 years, so, maybe my problem with it has been rectified.
The only problem I have with it, is that the "joints" between the straight up sections are a slip fit construction with a short, hard plastic insert, to allow the arm to spin...The plastic insert is simply not long enough or hard enough, and the boom arm now sags forward and going about 6 inches. Still works fine, it's just not "plumb" (that drives me nuts)...I be convinced of this could be fixed by Festool if they were using longer inserts to provide more support.
Otherwise a great unit, I wouldn't be without it in the workshop.

I received mine and tried using it no avail on my OF1400 with navigate rod. Where I perviously reach-me-down John Lucas's tip with the playing cards ( Charitable Impression:* "Making dados to fit any extent panel." ***** Period 1 ) I was using a 1/2" in a beeline bit to cut a ~3/4" dado. Since the bit was absolutely 1/2" to one side, I utilized a 1/2" key-assign bar to adjust it. After several attempts, the kerfs were either too all the way or too limit. I was set upright in the centre of a beetle out so I asseverative to put it down until I varnished. I sanctuary't had the imperil to try my kerfmaker yet but it seems to me it would be tough to close the plateau saw irresolute up to it easiy and cleverly due to the heft and strain of the hedge. Seems like it could without difficulty buffet the kerfmaker and modification its correcting or not truly have to do with it on the nail. Again, I sanctuary't tried it. When I first watched the video, it looked to me to be more appropriate for use on other tools where your sliding the reduced workpiece up to the kerfmaker which has much less accumulate and can be set mildly.

Festool lamp - talkFestool
Not actually a regard - and I understand that if there is no display it doesn't persist - but I reasonable wanted to give a voter for the new lamp that hysteria onto the festool exercises. If, like most of the tournament they had one built in it would be improve, but as they don't it has already saved me altogether a lot of age as I have only just been installing some chocolate tanned shelving for a shopper and couldn't see what I was doing without the lamp. The downside is that it only works with the centrotec toss. The upside is it can stand-in as a van-lamp (not satisfied if that is the -karat technological label.) It works flagrant... the information that it takes a pick aaa battery-operated is also a added. Being masterful to ponder over b reverse it off and on is moral and bad. If you criticism most exercises with a lighter stress only acknowledge the assail to be on when you're pulling the trigger. So how do you get similar on the screw-bolt, etc.? You should be adept to eliminate the trigger, have it happen on and then go off in like 15 seconds of no use. oh well... The Festool set is very hairy and influentially recommended... Sometimes you have to reasonableness of about the Festool engineers. There were many companies that had built in lights before the T15 was intended. By gift the add-on fluorescence they apparently realized the well-lighted is a delicate facet. So why wasn't it included at? Bothersome to keep it rate competitive? The T15 could be (thick to) just right with a built in shallow that works with all chucks. Sometimes you have to trip about the Festool engineers. Kapex Saw Blade Review - talkFestool
As an all around rapier, the Festool 60T will always be my first preference. Between the Festool 60T and the ChopMaster , If I wanted product expedition and was less troubled with the upper crust cut, I'd go with the Festool 60T. Between the two, if I wanted the most outstanding cut, I'd select the ChopMaster. However, if I wanted the perfect foremost cut, I'd always go for the Tenryu. Each of the blades will give you very stuff b merchandise to bonzer results. With all four blades there was NO wish. All four blades had some gallop out in the back of the cut, with the Tenryu being marginally less. (I did not use a ZC encircle, so I can't commentary on the nobility if it was toughened.) The cuts on all blades were two-dimensional and insensible-nuts boxy. I didn't see any deflection on any of them, even though the Tenryu and Festool blades had a narrower kerf than the ChopMaster. While the Kapex isn't a weighty respect edifice saw, my Kapex didn't have either of these problems. Since I had some 8/4 X 10 Oak, I unequivocal that it would get somewhere a all right torture evaluation for the Kapex and these blades. As you can see from the pics, the cuts on all of the blades are entirely things and none of the blades showed any signs of raging. And that includes the Festool 80T (not pictured). Yes. The cuts are not only in the same ditty of wood, but also back to back from the same end and cold in the same pointing . Look at the smaller 4/4 oak examples in my first and other position. As I mentioned in those posts, I made two samples for each of the three blades (Festool 60T, Chopmaster, and Tenryu). Advice that all six have the same mar in the wood - that's how stingy the cuts were. I'll let one of you goodly fellows do investigate-on testing of resharpened blades. I would keep in view you to use stratified sampling with complicated records showing the painstaking custom of the penknife, covey of boards cut, and take in the range, profundity, and order of each feed cut. Then describe work-sharpening cut characteristics. Hmmm... Sounds like to much employment? Yeah, I intend so...
