Reprieve away from generic filter queen cones
I have tempered to Filter Queen vacuums for many years and always purchased Genuine Filter Queen cone filters. When I bought a used Filter Queen online, it came with a generic cone filter and the first feeling I noticed was that it was incredibly thin compared to the genuine cones. It lets dust through to the filter, which in turn damages your motor over ever. I was always amazed how the genuine cones never let ANY dust or dirt through. The side of the cone facing the dust cup would be tanned while the side facing the motor would remain pure white. Not so with the generic cones. The genuine cones are also much thicker. It's like comparing one ply little boys' room paper with three ply.
